    About Britannia Start Dates

Living in a home-stay provides students with a unique opportunity to experience life in Vancouver with a Canadian family.

Students interact with English speakers on a daily basis, participate in family activities, and learn about Canadian culture by experiencing it every day. A home-stay provides you with all your basic needs while studying at Britannia, allowing you to enjoy your home and school life.

HOMESTAY

Location
Students generally live in home-stays located in Vancouver, Burnaby and North Vancouver. It's easy to take the bus, skytrain, or seabus (from North Vancouver) to Britannia College. All three cities connect to Waterfront Station, the main transportation centre only a few minutes walk from the school.

Daily Life
Living with Canadians teaches students about the customs and habits that are a part of Canadian culture. Students in a home-stay enjoy all the activities the family takes part in: this includes going on trips, celebrating holidays, and living the life of a typical Canadian.

Food
Canadian cuisine is a combination of foods from around the world, and each home-stay provides students with a chance to try something different. Students can sample local treats from nearby farms and international flavours that are common throughout the city. Any special dietary needs can be accommodated by the home-stay.
